Arlecchino & Chinese Opera
The show took place in Sha Tin.
First of all, the play was in Italian- though we could've read subtitles in English, I tried not to look at them that much because I felt Disracted. I tried to see how do they play, and trying to pay attnetion to the small things.
The play was shown in a Proscenium Arch hall. It was huge, and so as the stage- though the all play was on a small wood stage that was based on the big one.
The play was very special, because it has it's own structure. It was divided to 3 pictures, in each one of them a narrator from the side turn on and off the candles and it symblized the new part of the play. Some parts of the show were trying to invlove the audience in it, and I felt that it make the audience feel like a part of the show, living on the same time.
A few days after, we went to another show, this time to a Chinese Opera.
Just like the Commedia dell'Arte, It took place in a Proscenium Arch hall. I found it interesting because of the movements that the actors did, and especially because of the melody.
Both of the shows were really good, and I especially liked Arlecchino because i felt more comfortable with the way it was presented- It was a whole show, and the Chinese Opera was some really good scenes from the play.
